BETHANY, Okla. – Southwestern Christian University men's basketball will host an open tryout at Pickens-Springer gymnasium on July 2.

The tryout will begin at 6 p.m. July 2, and is open to any student or perspective student.

BETHANY, Okla. — Ty Ash has signed his letter of intent to play baseball at Southwestern Christian University in 20016.

Ash joins Logan Armstrong, Brendan Blackfox, Devin Hartman, Garrett Odom, Austin Rash, Thomas Solowynsky, Drew Umbro, Donny Vail and Kyle Williams as members of the 2016 SCU recruiting class.

BETHANY, Okla. — Southwestern Christian University signed Austin Rash to play baseball in the 2016 season.

Rash joins Logan Armstrong, Brendan Blackfox, Devin Hartman, Garrett Odom, Thomas Solowynsky, Drew Umbro, Donny Vail and Kyle Williams as members of the 2016 SCU recruiting class.

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. — Southwestern Christian University's Cory Montgomery finished first in the championship flight and second overall in the Arkansas Championships at Hot Springs Village on the Golf Channel Amateur Tour on June 6-7.

Montgomery, a senior from Oklahoma City, carded an even-par 144 and finished second overall to Bob Brooks of Bella Vista, Ark. Brooks won the senior championship flight. Montgomery finished four strokes in front of Al Smith from San Angelo, Texas.

GREENVILLE, S.C. — Southwestern Christian University left-hander Kyle Vail was named an NCCAA first-team all-American Thursday.

Vail, a junior from Moore, Okla., was also named NCCAA Central Region pitcher of the year and was a second-team all-Sooner Athletic Conference selection this season.
