HILLSBORO, Kan. — Southwestern Christian University opened its 2015 campaign with a 1-0 win on the road against Tabor (Kan.) Tuesday at Joel H. Wiens Stadium.

The Eagles got a late goal from newcomer Dee Logba while the SCU defense stifled the Bluejays en route to their first shutout of the season.

HILLSBORO, Kan. — Southwestern Christian University dropped its 2015 season opener 2-1 in an overtime match Tuesday on the road against Tabor (Kan.) at Joel H. Wiens Stadium.

SCU responded and tied the match 1-1 after conceding an early goal in the first half. The Lady Eagles and Bluejays played a scoreless 74 minutes until Tabor's Amy Vaughn notched the game winner in the 100th minute.

NORTH NEWTON, Kan. -- Southwestern Christian University opened its season with a 1-3 showing in the Central Kansas Volleyball Invite over the weekend.

The Lady Eagles opened tournament play on Friday with a 3-0 (25-15, 25-11, 25-23) loss to tournament co-host Sterling (Kan.) before falling 3-0 (25-16, 25-21, 25-20) to Peru State (Neb.).

Southwestern Christian University volleyball enters 2015 looking to build off the experience it gained during the 2014 campaign.

The Lady Eagles open their new season in the Central Kansas Volleyball Invite Friday and Saturday, Aug. 21-22.

Women's Basketball - Fri, Aug. 21, 2015

BETHANY, Okla. — Southwestern Christian University vice president of intercollegiate athletics, Mark Arthur, will return to the hardwood as SCU's head women's basketball coach.

Arthur coached the SCU men from 1992-2012 and amassed an overall record of 404-329. He replaces Darrick Matthews, who was recently named head women's coach at USAO after one year as the head man at SCU.
