BETHANY, Okla. – Southwestern Christian University fell 3-2 to Southwestern Assemblies of God (Texas) Friday at Pickens-Springer Gymnasium.

The Lady Eagles dropped the first two sets 28-26 and 25-17 before rallying to win the next two 25-21 and 25-22 and forcing a decisive fifth set. In the final frame, SAGU outdueled SCU 15-12.

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. – Southwestern Christian University's Carlos Ardila is set to compete as an individual in National Christian College Athletic Association Men's Golf National Championship on Oct. 27-29 at the Hombre Golf Club.

Ardila, a freshman from Cucuta, Colombia, qualified for the national-championship field after shooting 73-67-72—212 and tying for eighth in the NCCAA Central Region Tournament on Sept. 23.

BETHANY, Okla. – Southwestern Christian University women's soccer played host to teams of 8-10 year old girls during the program's first big sister-little sister night on Oct. 9.

Approximately 40 girls from three local teams were in attendance to spend time with the Lady Eagles.

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Southwestern Christian University's Jamie Campbell was named National Christian College Athletic Association Division I men's soccer offensive student-athlete of the week for Oct. 13-18.

The 6-foot-2 forward scored a pair of goals and passed out an assist for SCU in games against Oklahoma City and Mid-America Christian. Campbell scored a goal and assisted another in SCU's 3-2 win over MACU and scored a goal in the Eagles' 3-2 loss at OCU.

HAWKINS, Texas – Southwestern Christian University's game against Jarvis Christian (Texas) originally scheduled for 2 p.m. Oct. 22 was canceled Wednesday.

The Lady Eagles picked up their seventh win of the season by way of a Jarvis Christian forfeit. SCU is now 7-7 overall.
