BETHANY, Okla. – Southwestern Christian University narrowly fell to University of the Southwest (N.M.) 83-82 Tuesday at Pickens-Springer Gymnasium.

Five Eagles scored in double figures to help SCU erase a 14-point deficit and take a one-point lead with 27 seconds remaining in the game. USW's Darius Revels converted a pair of free-throw attempts with four second left to retake the lead and help the Mustangs escape with the win.

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Southwestern Christian University's Austin Turner was named NCCAA Division I men's basketball student-athlete of the week for Dec. 7-13.

The senior from Hobbs, NM, led the Eagles to an 81-78 victory over Lindenwood-Belleville (Ill.) on Dec. 13. Tuner notched a double-double with a career-high 27 points and a season-high 10 rebounds.

ABILENE, Texas – Southwestern Christian University fell 100-52 to Abilene Christian in an exhibition game Monday at Moody Coliseum.

Despite a career-high 15 points and four rebounds from freshman Eliora Johnson, Abilene Christian shot 51 percent from the field and outrebounded the Lady Eagles 55-28 en route to the 48-point victory.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Southwestern Christian University's Austin Turner was named Sooner Athletic Conference men's basketball player of the week for Dec. 8-14.

Turner, a senior from Hobbs, N.M., dropped a career-high 27 points and snagged 10 rebounds in SCU's 81-78 victory over Lindenwood-Belleville (Ill.) on Dec. 13. The 6-foot-5 forward made 8-of-13 shots from the floor, including 7-of-10 from beyond the 3-point arc, to help the Eagles improve to 4-5.
