WINONA LAKE, Ind. — For the second time in the last three seasons Southwestern Christian University will compete in the NCCAA Division I Women's Basketball Championship at the Manahan Orthopaedic Capital Center.
The Lady Eagles (16-15) fell to Mid-America Christian in the championship game of the NCCAA Central Region Tournament last weekend but received an at-large bid to the national tournament. SCU will enter tournament play as the No. 5 seed.
Last time SCU appeared in the national tournament (2014-15), the Lady Eagles entered as the No. 2 seed after winning the central regional.
The Lady Eagles are scheduled to meet the tournament's No. 4 seed Greenville (Ill.) in the opening game at 11 a.m. CDT. Greenville (20-9) punched its ticket to the dance by winning the North Central Region.
