OKLAHOMA CITY — Southwestern Christian University shot a first-round 323 and sat in second place in the SCU Fall Invite Tuesday at Lake Hefner Golf Course.
The Eagles finished the first round five shots ahead of Kansas Wesleyan and three shots off the lead held by Murray State CC on the par-72, 5,969-yard course.
Andi McGill, a senior from Marietta, Okla., fired an even-par 72 and took the individual lead. Murray State's Rain Moores and Kansas Wesleyan's Kiah Rash each shot a first round 78 and tied for second place.
SCU will return to action in the second and final round of the SCU Fall Invite at 8 a.m. Wednesday at Lake Hefner Golf Course.
