The men's tennis team competed in the ITA Regional Championship on September 28th-29th in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

The Eagles lost all of the their first-round singles competitions, but still got a chance to compete in the backdraw. Ryan Mullins and Matt Franks had a tough three-set matches in the second round of the backdraw. Josh Wehrenberg was the only one who made it to the third round for the Eagles. 

The other participants in the Regional were Oklahoma Baptist University and University of the Southwest from New Mexico. 

The doubles competition was tough for the Eagles, as well. Brandon Patterson & Josh Wehrenberg, Ryan Mullins & Matt Franks, Devonte Pittman & Isaiah Island all got ousted by OBU and USW. 

The Eagles' first competition of the season was against Jacksonville College on September 13th, 2012. 

SCU lost 1-5 in singles with Matt Franks the only Eagle who walked away a victor in a match.

In doubles, Isaiah Island & Devonte Pittman won their doubles, finishing the Eagles with one win and five losses in singles and one win and two losses in doubles.

The squad also hosted a Nickelodeon Day at Willow Creek Golf & Country Club on September the 1st to recognize Obesity Awareness Month. Ryan Mullins, Isaiah Island, and Brandon Patterson all came out to lend a helping hand with the day, which hosted 50 kids in different age groups ranging from three years old to 18 years old.

"It was a really special day for us," commented Coach Marcos. "The kids got to play a lot of tennis for free with the sponsorship of the United States Tennis Association and Willow Creek Golf & Country Club. Without our guys' help, we wouldn't have been able to last the day."

The men's team will resume their schedule in the Spring of 2013.
