Coach Koonce will begin his second season as SCU's head bowling coach of both the men's and women's teams in 2011 after taking over the program mid-season in 2010.  

After beginning bowling at the age of three, Koonce went on to win the Junior European National Championship at the age of nine and currently still bowls in adult leagues and tournaments. Upon graduation from Moore High School (Okla.), he went on to receive his Associate's Degree in Computer Aided Drafting and Design from ITT Technical Institute. He now resides in Blanchard, Oklahoma with his wife, Maria, and three children: Chaniel, Malakai, and Trintton.
